  • 1 out of every 5 Canadians will experience a mental health issue – a 20 Billion dollar issue to workplaces in Canada! (MHCC)
  • More than 500,000 Canadians will not go to work because of mental illness
  • 30% of disability claims and 70% of disability costs are attributed to mental illness
  • $51 billion each year is lost to the Canadian economy because of mental illness

Mental Health Awareness Tips:

Make Mental Health Matter! Canadian Council on Learning and the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health have partnered to present Mental Health Minute. A website that provides videos, podcasts and teleseminars! The videos provide examples of normal everyday life events that can indicate the need for further attention and understanding. This series brings awareness and knowledgeable information about mental health issues in the workplace, at home and community.

Check-Up from the Neck Up!

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. This simple, online, private, mental health check-up can identify some symptoms of depression, anxiety or bipolar disorder so you can get help if you need it.
