Full-Time (Overnights) Office Administrator
Location: Honda Recreation Centre, Alliston ON

Health Systems Group (HSG) Limited www.healthsystemsgroup.com, a national provider of fitness and wellness services in Canada has an opening for a full-time (overnights) Office Administrator at the Honda Recreation Centre in Alliston, Ontario.  The private fitness facility, managed by HSG, includes a large fitness centre, arena, tennis court, and softball diamond.

To be considered for this role, a commitment to core values including integrity, respect, customer service and teamwork are essential.

Job Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Greeting and signing in members and guests
  • Answering incoming calls, answering questions, and responding to member concerns
  • Booking ice rentals and fitness appointments
  • Managing membership files
  • Developing promotional materials for wellness programming
  • Tidying the fitness facility, ensuring that the equipment is clean and safe for use
  • Monitoring communication avenues (Facebook, website, etc.) to ensure that information is accurate and up-to-date

Qualifications:

  • Diploma, certificate or equivalent in administration or the fitness and wellness field
  • Current First-Aid and CPR
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the fitness or administrative field

Full-Time (Overnights) Facility Operator
Location: Honda Recreation Centre, Alliston ON

Health Systems Group (HSG) www.healthsystemsgroup.com, a national provider of professional consulting and management services in fitness, recreation, and wellness, has an opening for a Full-Time (overnights) Facility Operator at the Honda Recreation Centre in Alliston, Ontario.

Reporting to the Facility Supervisor, the Facility Operator will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the facility. This position oversees the facility to ensure programs/events run as scheduled and is responsible for the security and safety of the facility and its patrons.

Duties include arena operations, ice flooding, The Private Fitness Facility, managed by HSG, includes a large Fitness Centre, Arena, Tennis Court and Softball diamond.

Job Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Maintain a quality ice surface
  • Ensure that events and programs run as scheduled
  • Operate ice re-surfacer and other specialized equipment
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance
  • Patrol the building looking for facility issues, potential safety hazards, or improper operations
  • Responsible for the security of the building
  • Monitor facility operating systems and records readings

Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

  • A degree or diploma in a related field
  • Previous training and/or practical experience in facility and arena maintenance.

  • Ontario Recreation Facilities Association (ORFA) Certified Ice Technician or post- secondary education or accreditation in related facilities management.
  • Team player, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Wellness Programmer
Location: Honda Recreation Centre in Alliston, Ontario

Health Systems Group (HSG) www.healthsystemsgroup.com, a national provider of professional consulting and management services in fitness, recreation, and wellness, has an opening for a Wellness Programmer at the Honda Recreation Centre in Alliston, Ontario.

The opportunity is a full-time (40 hours/week) contract position which will expire on June 8th, 2018.

The Wellness Programmer is responsible for creating and implementing high quality, engaging wellness programs designed to improve the health and well-being of Honda of Canada Manufacturing’s Associates.

Responsibilities of the Wellness Programmer include, but are not limited to:

  • Program Design – develop programs that are fun, engaging, and informative
  • Program Implementation – organize program promotion and registration, and oversee programs through to their conclusion
  • Provide recommendations to the Wellness Coordinator in regards to program improvements
  • Communication and Promotion – develop high-quality promotional materials such as posters and brochures; oversee the website ensuring that all content is up-to-date; develop promotional materials for all communication mediums to ensure that all programming is communicated effectively
  • When required, lead preventative injury group exercise sessions

Applicants who meet the following criteria and can demonstrate their skill and ability in the following areas should apply:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ practical experience in the fitness, wellness, or recreation fields.
  • Exceptional organizational, creative, and time management and relationship management skills.

Fitness Consultant plus Personal Training
Location: Calgary, Alberta

HSG Health Systems Group Limited www.healthsystemsgroup.com currently has an opening for a 22.5 hour/week Fitness Consultant plus Personal Training in Calgary, Alberta.

This 10,000 sq. ft facility located in a downtown Calgary is only one block from the C-Train. Our 1,100-member facility contains state-of-the-art Matrix cardio and strength machines/free weights and a 1,100 sq. ft. group exercise class studio. You will be working in a team and this is a great opportunity for a recent kinesiology graduate.

Start date: As soon as possible.

Job Description:

  • Hours: 0.6 FTE (22.5 hours/week) plus Personal Training hours.
  • Work Schedule: between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM weekdays;
  • Exercise Floor Supervision: assist with supervising the strength, cardio and stretching areas to ensure that members are exercising safely and effectively.
  • Customer Service: greet members, process new member applications, conduct orientations and fitness consultations/assessments.
  • Facility: assist with basic equipment and facility maintenance.
  • Wellness: assist with Lunch and Learns, bulletin boards, special events, etc.
  • Group Exercise Classes: conduct one group exercise class per week (negotiable).
  • Personal Training: Conduct personal training sessions outside of scheduled work hours (hours negotiable).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology or other exercise science degree.
  • Group exercise certification (AFLCA) and class skills an asset.
  • Current CSEP-CPT or CEP designation and/or CSCS (or in progress).
  • Current CPR and First Aid.
  • A proven track record of delivering exceptional Customer Service.

Group Exercise Instructor (Aquafitness)
